Has anybody been? What is the sound/screen quality like? I want to get a single in the first row of center the mezz, but it looks like that ship has sailed. Basically, is it worth it or would the recliners at the Landmark on 57th be better?
While in theory it’d be cool to see it at the Belasco, I can barely stand those seats for an hour until intermission of a show, I don’t know why anyone would choose to sit there for three hours when they have incredibly comfy seats at Landmark.
I was there yesterday in rear orchestra (for quick bathroom access lol). Seats were very comfortable and the movie is great- 3.5 hours sailed by, I didn't get up once.
The basement of the theater is decorated very cool with old style newspaper machines that offer "The Irishman Daily," which has information about Jimmy Hoffa and historical events in the film. They're also giving away a very cool poster, and there are four phone booths that say De Niro, Pacino, Pesci and Scorsese.
As one of the ushers said, "You don't get a Playbill today, but you get all this." For $15, well worth it
