The success of this show shouldn’t really be surprising, but I can’t but be so giddy right now. Such wonderful news.

And a perfect theatre to put it into,The Piccadilly to boot. A long run is forecast for this dynamo musical.

seems that large houses in London these days are all booked up, with that design it would have looked amazing at the Dominion. will be interesting to see how it looks in these narrower theatres that dont have all that side room over the boxes to play with.

I think they like not having a bigger theatre. As beautiful as the show is, they probably like having a more standard space to play with, especially using the playing spaces on the proscenium. They probably prefer to build those out into the audience than have to narrow the wider stage down.

I could see them doing a lot with the exterior and the inside boxes seem fine for the design. The over hang seems bad for the extended stage, but honestly not much happens on it.

I think I the Broadway house is all wrong for it, but eh, clearly it’s doing fine.
