Perhaps they are only bringing back Mary Poppins to do the same thing. With the new streaming service, I think I can see Disney filming quite a few of their stage works.

They did move their people around. Clinton Greenspan joins the Broadway company directly from the North American tour.

Yes I'm aware of that and I'll likely go see him on Broadway. I just thought Matt would be next.

Is there a cast list for this yet? I know Courtney Reed and Ainsley Melham were there based on social media but haven't found many articles talking about this.

Courtney was actually in the closing cast for a few months but not in the filming.

From Instagram it looks like Isabelle McCalla was Jasmine.

From Instagram, looks like Ainsley Melham was Aladdin and Robert Tripolino was Omar. Both are from the original Australian casts, although Ainsley just finished a stint as Aladdin on Broadway.

I saw Ainsley perform on Broadway and he was wonderful. Hopefully this filming will be released in the US but I do hope they eventually bring him back to the Broadway company.

Something that I really appreciated about the 2019 live-action Disney movie of ''Aladdin'' is that they cast Mena Massoud, a wonderful actor of Arab descent, to play the lead role. Has an actor of Arab descent played Aladdin in any of its major productions (i.e., Broadway, West End, Australia)?

Didn't Thomas Schumacher say that he was working on Beauty and the Beast but especifically told it was not going to be necessarily on Broadway? Maybe he was talking about a new production to be filmed on Disney+?

Michael Riedel did an interview with Thomas Schumacher very recently and Tom spoke of the following that are in the works:

Aida, The Princess Bride, Beauty and the Beast and a stage version of Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
