I did it on a Sunday two weeks ago and bought a ticket 5 minutes before the show started. I assume I was one of the last few to be able to get SRO as my spot was on the side - great view.

In case anyone is wondering, you cannot walk up five minutes before showtime or sometime in the afternoon and get tickets anymore. We arrived at 6 AM today (we were the first in line) and people started arriving pretty steadily about a half hour later. By 10 AM the line was all the way down the block. Although I would say that most of the tickets must’ve been gone before 9, based on the size of the crowd.
I rushed this morning and got standing room. I got to the theater around 7:30 and there were 5 people in front of me. Over the next 30 minutes, I think another 5 or so people showed up and by 10, I'd say the line was at least 30-40 people long.
Got two tickets for $50 each.
I was at the show Friday night and it was sold out. I was in the front row but I turned around a couple times and the SRO area had people but, I couldn't tell if that area was full too.
Chris Harkins said: "Can one person buy two tickets SRO or would my wife have to come with me in the morning?"
I was able to buy two tickets.
And the SRO section was full yesterday and I'm pretty sure they were all gone by morning.
