At what point do shows usually start selling programs? Wanted to get a Hadestown program but we leave on Wednesday... and shipping to Australia costs the same as the actual program... is it usually not until after opening? Does Be More Chill have programs yet? We are seeing that on Tuesday

It’s usually a few months. It’s usually not a priority for the production. Cher Show doesn’t have one yet and Mean Girls took a good while. The only one that came out super fast was KinKong which they had before opening.

It really depends on the show. I went to New York in late May last year, and spring shows that had them included Frozen, Carousel (hot off the presses, they said), My Fair Lady, and Cursed Child. Mean Girls opened around the same time and, as mentioned above, didn’t have theirs until mid-fall.

As was said above, it really depends on the show. Most shows won't have one until after opening night. And also, not every show creates one. Cursed Child had theirs from day 1, but all the production photos were from the London production; they issued a new one after the official opening.
