Has anyone seen this tour recently? Just got my tickets for one final viewing in Boston. Non equity tours don't scare me (like they do for some on this board) but I am curious about people's thoughts on the tour, especially since it recently played Los Angeles. Thanks in advance!

I thought it was incredible! The cast was really phenomenal and the quality of the production was excellent. It was my first time seeing the show and it certainly didn't disappoint. It was a really fun night at the theatre and I would recommend it. I hope you enjoy the show when you see it.

Is it true the kids are missing ? If so,how is the first scene done ? Might see it in Atlantic City

The kids are in fact missing. At the beginning of the show, Charlie's father walks onstage and is joined by adult Charlie who kicks a soccer ball onstage and runs after it. He instead sings to adult Charlie who speaks what would be Young Charlie's dialogue. Young Lola's part is just cut entirely.

I believe there is one fewer male & female ensemble cast member, too. I haven't found anything confirming this, but I believe the tour is closing after it tours Asia this summer.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Has anyone else seen this recently? I just realized it was coming about 2 hours away from me to the Majestic in San Antonio next month, and I was thinking about making the drive to go see it and check it off the list.

Only problem is that the immediate morning after the show, probably 10 hours after curtain, I'm flying to NYC for my big Broadway trip this year. It'd be a super tight fit to try and squeeze this in beforehand, but part of me is feeling adventurous and wants to try to make it work... Plus, it's non-eq. and the prices aren't too hefty at all. Is this still worth seeing?

Could I please have an explanation between non equity and the other sort of show that tours. Is it all about belonging to a theatrical union?

In Australia, as far as I know we have professional shows where performers belong to a union-equity-I THINK it is compulsory to join. Then there are regional shows, amateur, and now there is the term, proam where a paid professional will join an amateur cast for many personal reasons. These latter two are suburban and do not tour.

Saw this in Boston recently at the colonial. Kids are gone, at least they were for my show lol. Set isn't bad, typical of a non equity set though. But it worked. I thought the talent was actually quite strong, especially with the leads. Don't have my playbill now, but ya the two leads were fantastic imo. Likely the last time ill see this show, happy to go out with a bang! I recommend the tour, but just know the set is a bit small.
