Saw a preview last night. It is very, very, very odd. I felt and heard a lot of discontent on my way out. (It is pretty short at 1:45 with no interval.)

Jim Broadbent is quite wonderful as H.C. Andersen and his scenes with Phil Daniels' Charles Dickens are hilarious.

If I could I'd see it again, not so much because I loved it but because it is intriguing and a little flummoxing.

I saw discouraging comments over on theatreboard as well.  Although at least one person thought a matinee price was ok -

I've been avoiding details to avoid spoilers in case I go, but I get the impression this is one of those shows where it's not going to suit everyone, and you are far more likely to enjoy it if you are braced for something weird and a challenge!  I suspect there is a danger that people will go hoping to see something jolly from that nice Mr Broadbent and reality is something a bit darker.

It is very tedious and it only ran 70 minutes yesterday. Most people hated it. I really liked the concept, and the performances were fantastic, but god do I think it was so unnecessary.

I've never hated anything as much as I hated this vile, disgusting play.

I have the opportunity to see this but the seat would be on the 3rd level. Isntbst just ridiculously far from the stage?

If you can see the stage at all you've done poorly. I've never hated a show more in my 30 years of going to the theatre.

I saw this a couple days ago and absolutely loved it.
It's very bizarre and could be perceived as tasteless, but you just have to go with it. The staging is very inventive and the performances are great. If you can wrap your head round the subject matter you'll at least come out of it with some curiosity.
