My Fair Lady has 8pm curtain throughout the week. With a 2:55 running time why do they not have at least a 7pm curtain time on Tuesday and Thursday as seems to be standard nowadays.
Folks could get home an hour earlier and i believe the cast might appreciate it as well.
Just sayin'
To seek revenge may lead to hell yet everyone does it but seldom as well......
Are you looking at the right show? My Fair Lady performances are at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They follow a pretty standard Broadway schedule...
Yes, they have a 7pm curtain on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The evening curtain is at 8pm on Wednesdays to allow for extra time between the matinee and evening performances. Earlier in the run, they had all evening performances beginning at 8pm, but they've been on their current schedule since the show opened.
Either way, though, it's up to the ticket-buyer to decide what is acceptable for themselves. If they buy tickets to an 8pm performance on a weeknight, that's their choice. The show doesn't seem to have had trouble selling tickets to those weeknight performances.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
-John Guare, Landscape of the Body
Even Playbills listing is muxh more accurate than BWW.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
