Was going to put this in one of the other Tony Threads but wanted to see anyone else have this happen to before?
So I bought my tickets on Ticketmaster.com; got to the Awards show and the usher is like oh you need to speak to Frank ... he's like oh you have different seats now. I go ummm ok; figured maybe we got bumped up or who knows? Nope they gave us worse seats (in this case one row behind where I was supposed to be) And they gave some random people who were snapchatting the whole time my seats.

This ever happen to anyone else?

I would be willing to bet that there is a way to get your money back if you contact the right people.
I am guessing that the cost of both rows were the same, so I doubt if this warrants a refund. But it bites that you were not ushered into the expected seats.
Other than the people snapchatting, how was 1 row back from your original seats, a worse seat? You should have said something to "Frank" at the time. Upgrading my seat, I say nothing. Downgrading my seats that I purchased, especially to accomodate someone else, look out. Remember, most in authority aren't going to offer anything. You have to ask (and in some cases demand).

I did say something his response was "yeah they can do what they want and this happens often"
... he had a stack of tickets so I assume this happens often. And they "taped" off the seat. whats weirder is I guess they did it to the other 3 seats to the left of me too but no one ever came. in those two

What was there reason for the change?"
Someone I guess more important? Dunno.
I noticed they had the "special tickets" ... the ones that looked like fancy tickets and had pictures in front of the roses that Said Tony on the red carpet, so I assume they were someone they were trying to woo
Its weird to complain about one row I know but $500 I don't expect you tochagne my seats and nothing in return either.
