This is pure fluff, coming from a light hearted backstage conversation at “Annie” this morning: which musical would be the most changed or the most improved if the main character, from the time the play began to when it ended, was equipped with a big, sharp samurai sword?

Annie. It would clear up so many plot holes- why does everyone let Annie get away with literally everything, even when it's ludicrous? Why does an eleven year old girl get to climb on the President's table and sing a song in the middle of a cabinet meeting? What the samurai wants, the samurai gets.
