Has anyone seen this show yet? It's a great thriller directed by David Fincher. Also a lot of Broadway faces in the cast. Jonathan Groff's in the lead role, and Michael Park (Dear Evan Hansen) and Eric William Morris (Be More Chill) have small roles as well.

I thought it was a little uneven but overall I really enjoyed it. Thought Groff and Holt McCallany both gave great performances. Cameron Britton deseves an Emmy for his chilling portrayal of Ed Kemper. You can go on YouTube and view some of the actual Ed Kemper interviews and Britton really nailed it.

I read the book the series is based on back when Silence of the Lambs came out and I thought i wanted to be a profiler for the FBI. Thought this was a great adaption overall.

Just don't watch the awful Christian Slater movie by mistake.

I second the thoughts on Britton as Kemper. That guy is absolutely haunting.

I'd also like to see an Emmy for Jonathan Groff as well. I loved how he kept up this cold, unflinching facade, and how it all crumbled apart in the final moments of the season.

Haven’t gotten passed episode 5, basically because I got bored.

I found the show... off, in a way I can't quite articulate. It looked great, was well edited, well produced, but each episode left me unsatisfied. There were enough interesting concepts and directorial flourishes to keep me watching but, I think, the writing simply didn't connect the dots.

I found Jonathan Groff severely miscast, his natural earnestness leaving him unable to portray the detached and driven qualities that typically make up a Fincher character. He had less than zero chemistry with Hannah Gross and their scenes together felt like watching two robots testing out faulty artificial intelligence. I liked Holt McCallany and the actors who portrayed the killers. Poor Anna Torv wasn't left with much to do, though she was a welcome presence.

I agree with you.  I really really wanted to love it.  I love Jonathan Groff  but I, too, thought maybe he was miscast. There was zero chemistry between him and Hannah Gross. The love scenes were akward at best.  I did enjoy the rapport between him and McCallany.   Britton does deserve recognition for sure.    All that being said, I'd still love to see a second season and hopefully expand on Groff's character. Ditch the gf.  The end of the last episode was amazing.

I couldn't get through the first episode. The slowest pilot I've ever seen.

Season 2 confirmed by Netflix!
Hopefully they’ll make some character changes/additions. Even though it wasn’t what I thought it would be I’m still happy for Jonathan and cast that this will continue.

Maybe they'll replace Hannah Gross with a human being.

I'm halfway through the first season.  Jonathan Groff is one thing, but ANNA TORV AS WELL?!?!  Be still my heart, I don't know if I can take it.  I'm loving it so far.
