I saw it this past Sunday at the Baltimore Hippodrome. It was phenomenal. Cory was my favorite part of the show actually. His "Cry For Me" gave me chills, and his energy and exuberance were palpable. I couldn't take my eyes off of him, no pun intended. Aaron was a fantastic Frankie as well. I thought his age made some of the earlier scenes a little hard to believe, but he really came into his own during the second act when he was allowed to show the more mature side of the character.
Bump, anyone seen this since it relaunched, or planning on seeing it? Never seen Jersey Boys live and I'll be in the area when it's making its Dallas stop a couple weeks from now and thought I might catch it. Didn't realize the tour was still Equity.
I believe the tour is re-opening today in Detroit. I'm checking it out on Tuesday. I was also surprised that this was an equity tour. According to their tour dates, lots of short 1-3 day stops.
The current beautiful tour is similar. 1-3 days stops. I wonder why these shows don’t just go out non-equity. It’s already on such a low seta tier. Can anyone answer what’s the advantage the producers have for keeping these shows equity after being out on tour for so long?

So I watched this last night not having seen any iteration of Jersey Boys before nor really knowing the music of the Four Seasons.
I really wanted to like this show, but I just did not unfortunately. It felt like a community production. There were a bunch of lighting and sound issues, which I can forgive because the show just re-opened.
The overall production and set just felt cheap. I’ve never seen it on Broadway/off-Broadway so I have nothing to compare it to. I am not a fan of screens, especially if screens are used to replace physical set pieces. A lot of set pieces came in by actors pushing in and out. The only piece that slides in are the mics. Also, the orchestrations sounded pretty light, with electronic keyboards clearly replacing instruments. I usually don’t notice this, but it was pretty obvious in this show.
The whole cast is very talented. Jon Hacker as Frankie Valli has the pipes and the charisma (and the energy). The harmonies are pretty much what you come to the show for, and it’s there! To me, the standout of the production is the choreography and the dancing. This cast knocks it out of the park, it was all so clean and fun to watch.
Not sure what I was expecting or if I’m just not the target audience, but it felt like a cruise ship production.
