Agreed. Just looking through Davenport's logos for his upcoming show - Getting The Band Back Together - I hated them all. There's something to be said for a clean design. And SideShow is just a case of terrible marketing. They don't know what they want the show to be. If anything play up it's romantic elements. Not this glitz/glamour Chicago vibe. Because it doesn't have any of that.
Awful. Why are they trying to move as far away as possible from the tone and setting of the show? The intertwining arms is the only interesting quality to the image. It just looks unoriginal and trite, completely lacking in creativity.

To all you haters: i would LOVE to see what you would come up with that would be the LEAST bit interesting... and taking art from an already existing thing (i.e. Carnivale) doesn't count. And if you think you can do it better, why don't you get a job (or try to get a job) at one of the agencies and stop hiding behind a screen.

Oh my god shut up. I'm not an artist and don't know if I could do a better job, but as consumers - whose literal role IS to consume the art - we actually are the best judges.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

eperkins, God I hope SIDE SHOW doesn't run two seasons.
And I know that I am not amazing at Photoshop and I made this in like 45 seconds, but if I were working on the show, I would try to go for artwork kind of like this:
Anything regarding shows stated by this account is an attempt to convey opinion and not fact.
I sort of like the new artwork, but I was hoping they would've done something like they did for the Kennedy Center. Something like this picture, which I found on Tumblr.
