Not looking great so far. Can anyone make some sense of the season?

If/Then=Best Musical, best score
Bullets=Best Book for Woody Allen

For Plays: I'm thinking "The Glass Menagerie" may sweep the acting categories. It's a stunning production and deserves every award that it gets. Updated On: 11/6/13 at 11:22 AM

After Midnight will surely get a lot of nominations. I would bet on it getting a Best Musical nod.

Oh, yes, tazber. I think "After Midnight" will get a nod for best musical. (I think it'll be (pending Honeymoon in Vegas' move-we don't know if it's coming): After Midnight, Bullets Over Broadway, Honeymoon in Vegas (if it comes), If/Then

And "Big Fish" if "Honeymoon" doesn't make the transfer.

If (if not when) Fun Home moves to Broadway, nothing else will stand a chance.

I think Bridges of Madison County will be nominated and possibly win. I have heard great things about this show.

Never too early to discuss Tony predix... I'm thinking Cherry Jones gets her third Best Actress Tony for Glass Menagerie...

Mark Rylance will probably receive his third Best Actor award.

I think Matilda has a stronger shot this year...

Kad-I'm not as convinced about Rylance. I think Zachary Quinto will give him a run for his money. He's pretty amazing in the best-reviewed production thus far this season.

Best Musical - Bullets Over Broadway
Best Lead Actor in a Musical - Zachary Levi (for First Date)
Best Lead Actress in a Musical - Marin Mazzie (for Bullets Over Broadway - if she's cast!)
Best Original Score - If/Then (though I'm hoping it's Rocky!)
Best Book - Woody Allen (for Bullets)
Best Director of a Musical/Choreography - Susan Stroman (Bullets)

I agree. Cherry Jones should dust off her mantle now for her third Tony.
Eventually she will either tie or surpass the great Julie Harris as most Tony wins for Best Actress. She is the best Broadway dramatic actress since Miss Harris.

I think Kad is onto something with Rylance. I definitely need to see Twelfth Night again, just to see him again... still floored more than a week later.

It's way too early to call, but I have really high hopes for Michelle Williams in Cabaret.

If Fun Home comes, then it'll shake things up, I think.

Very difficult to beat a good Sally Bowles for a best actress gong... If Williams delivers which I hope she does, it would be a great win for her... I'd also say featured noms for Emond and Burstein are pretty much locks - Hell, Burstein may win his first Tony for Cabaret - after all Ron Rifkin won the Tony for playing Schultz in 1998

Cabaret.
Yawn.

Now ANGRY INCH is something to watch.
After Midnight too.

Fun Home if transfers could place strong. Amazing piece all the way around - but I dig the intimacy at the public which might vanish on a larger stage.

It's NOVEMBER! I know. I know.

No.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

There seem to be a ton of new musicals coming in this season but very few revivals. What would be in the revival category? Les Miz and? Does Cabaret even count?

Cabaret, Hedwig and Les Miserables are the only musical revivals at this point.

Right, but Cabaret is a remount of the same revival and Hedwig has never been on Broadway. Will those count for the TONY's?

Judith Light will best performance by an actress in a featured role.
She doesn't even have to be in a show to win it again.

I think the Tony Awards will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall.
Two Broke Girls will be presenters.
The film cast of Into the Woods will perform.
