Hello,

Does The New Group typically offer rushes for their productions? I don't see anything listed on their website.

Thanks!

4. Do you have student rush tickets?
Yes. Student rush tickets can be purchased in-person, in advance or the day of the performance for $16.25. At that time, the student must present a valid student ID. Students can purchase one student rush ticket per valid student ID. Cash and credit accepted.

Bump.

Anyone heard if their production of Cyrano will have a rush?

I don't know the answer (I am also curious to know) but I'm just posting here to make sure people are aware that the info in the beginning of this thread (from 2013) is outdated.

According to Playbill (which is also sometime inaccurate), this is the most recent rush policy for New Group:

The New Group

Address: Pershing Square Signature Center - 480 West 42nd St.

General Rush:
Price: $30
How: Available on a first-come, first-served basis when performances are not sold out.
Where: Signature Center box office
Time: One hour prior to curtain
ID: Valid government ID
Tickets per Person: Limit 2
Payment Method: Cash or credit card
Special Policies: Subject to availability. For sold out shows, a full-price waitlist will form starting one hour prior to curtain.

But also, they may very well do something different for Cyrano because of the demand.

I could be wrong, but I believe their recent productions all had a lottery through TodayTix?

I waited In a rush line for “Daddy” for three hours prior to a performance. First one in line. I was told by box office staff the first five people would for sure be able to get in. Turns out not a single one of us got in (the line had reached about 30 people by the time 7:00 came around.) So I ‘d just plan in advance.

Just curious though: was the implication that, if someone HAD gotten in, they would have sold the tickets at rush price? And if so, was that separate from a full-priced cancellation line? Or was the rush and cancellation line essentially one and the same?

The implication was that it would be sold at a rush price. The line I sat In was strictly a rush line, not cancellation. Totally separate. I dont think they even had a cancellation line at all
