I was just on the Playwrights Horizons website to try and buy tickets to Far from Heaven and the buy tickets link is blank when it opens. I am assuming the show is sold out? If so does anyone know if they have tickets at the box office, or do they student tickets or rush? Thank you for your help :) i really want to see the show!

Check back 1-2 days before the performance you want to see
They have been releasing stuff

Pretty sure the run isn't sold out. If you type 'Far From Heaven' into the search box on TicketCentral.com, the only performance that shows up as sold out is Tuesday. I think there may just be a bug with the direct link to the show's ticketing page.

Also, here's the info on rush from Playwrights Horizons' website:

Rush tickets for those aged 30 & under

We offer a limited number of $25 tickets, subject to availability, starting one hour before showtime beginning at the second performance of each production and continuing through the end of the run. To purchase HOTTIX, proof of age is required. One ticket, per person, per purchase. Cash only.

FAR FROM HEAVEN is indeed sold out for the rest of its run, but there are always tickets on hold that get released the day of. There are also sometimes tickets that get returned by subscribers which can then be resold.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

There is often a huge line of people who are waiting before curtain for any released tickets. It's a hot ticket and something I'd highly recommend. A great chance to see Kelli O'hara close-up, and a riveting drama about race relations set in the 1950s. I think this has a good chance to transfer to Broadway. Will be difficult to get tickets, but perhaps if you get there a few hours beforehand you'll be first in line for any released tickets at the last minute. Good luck!!

Maybe they just released subscriber tickets early because of the holiday week, but clicking on the various 'Buy' links on Ticket Central shows there are at least 10 tickets available for every remaining performance except for July 2.
