It's an adult themed variety show with circus acts, burlesque and music. Should be fun to see. They used to have Spiegelworld at the sea port a few years ago with a similar show and they currently have Absinthe in Vegas.
I agree somewhat. But Cirque and Absinthe are two totally different theatrical experiences. Absinthe has a old school variety show approach; no set, crazy costumes or special effects. Absinthe has a grungy, dark and somewhat magical feel to it. It's almost a spoof of itself. Cirque on the other hand is the exact opposite. I do agree that most Cirque shows are not as entertaining as Absinthe, but just because they are both variety doesn't mean they are in the same league to compare them.
I saw it last night and it's a ton of fun. A little silly, a little raunchy, very intimate and cool vibe inside the tent, and the acts are pretty amazing, especially for such a small space. Even in the "cheap seats" the acts are right up in your face and they can leave you breathless. It's also quite hilarious and never takes itself too seriously.
Finally show this last night and I highly recommend it. What a fun 90 minutes One that you won't forget for a long time. Do NOT bring the kids very adult material.
