I'm planning a trip to New York in September and want to get a Book of Mormon ticket, no matter the cost. I'm having a hard time finding tickets online for any date in September - is this entire month sold out? I've found some on StubHub for $250 (cheapest), but wanted to see if there's a better way to get some from Telecharge. Would I have better luck if I just called? I only have experience with Ticketmaster so I'm a little confused. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks.
It depends on when you're going and how many tickets you want. I just got on there, out of curiosity, and found one for Row G, seat 6 in the mezzanine for Thursday, September 29.
September is a ways away and they definitely still have tickets for then. The box office is holding a fair number back, as I've had many friends luck out both at the box office and on Telecharge for same day, same week tickets.
My advice at this point is to just keep checking Telecharge like its your job. Everytime you think of it, hop online and look. I almost guarantee you will get something. That worked for me.
Also, dont be picky, you wont get more that one option. If Telecharge offers you seats on the day and quantity you want, TAKE THEM. Dont look for next best available. Its a small house so most all seats are good.
I wish you luck. :)

If you have an American Express card you can get tickets that they literally just released this morning (they are reserved for AMEX holders) that are pretty much available for every performance as of right now. My mom bought me some for my birthday in August this morning! I cannot wait. Stubhub may be your best bet if you arent an AMEX holder. OR they may still have Premium tickets.
The amount of scalped tickets on stubhub is amazing...there were over 100 for sale on one particular Saturday Matineé. That's crazy high!!
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
If you need to, single tickets are also a way to go. Planned our last trip around the show and my family of four was split up around the theater. Completely worth it.
Also standing room. From what I hear, as long as you are early you are in! Trying this when I get back up to the city.
