This is sad news for us "Glee" fans, but we suppose that those Gleeks can't stay young forever. Ryan Murphy spoke with Ryan Seacrest on Friday morning and not only announced his engagement to an unknown mystery man, but also mentioned that the "Glee" cast would be undergoing some major renovations in coming years.

As the New Directions kids, like Rachel (Lea Michele), Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Quinn (Dianna Agron) graduate -- which they will -- we won't suddenly see "Glee: The College Years." Instead, they'll be replaced by a freshman class of new talent.
"We've got Matt Morrison and Jane Lynch, who will stay and be the male and female linchpins of the series, but I think the fun thing about the show is it's a celebration of youth and talent," Murphy says. "I think that just like with the original cast, I think finding those young unknown people and giving them an opportunity to break into the business and become stars is a really fun and exciting thing and is the spirit of the series."

Murphy would prefer not to think of it as a negative thing. "I don't think of it in terms of eliminating or replacing," he says, "because I think the thing about this cast is people love them and they are incredibly talented. They've left sort of an indelible mark."

I have a love hate relationship with the show because of its pathetic storytelling, but that may change. I saw that Marty Noxon is set to come on as a consultant, and the lady knows how to tell a story.
What is with all the Lea Michele hate? I can understand people not wanting her in the Funny Girl revival. . .but you really cannot wait til have her off Glee, as well? Am I missing something she did to deserve the hate spewed her way?
^ I don't understand the hate either. She may have a reputation of being hard to work with but she is a great performer. I don't even understand why people wouldn't want her in FUNNY GIRL. What exactly is wrong with that voice?
Even if she can't play Fanny in the beginning, I guarantee you she will be playing it on Broadway as a replacement.

I actually want her in Funny Girl. And it's true the only reason they hate her is because she became famous. Happens a lot here like, everybody loved Cheno and Idina and wished they could be in a hit show. They were, now everyone calls them annoying and overrated.
Marti has joined as consultant? She was headwriter for my fave season of Buffy when Joss Whedon was busy with other projects, so that could be great. I wish it would be Ryan Murphy--someone who comes up with some great concepts and early eps and on every single thing he's worked on quickly completely burns out--who was leaving.
"Pure BroadwayWorld jealousy. She has a career in the industry, and 99% of the posters here do not. It all makes sense now"
Did you see where I said I had worked with her before, you know, in the industry?
She's still a tool.

I don't hate her because she is famous. I hate her because she is as annoying as hell and I can't stand her voice. Not to mention I just don't think she's that great of an actress or a performer. It has nothing to do with her being famous.

I seriously don't understand some of you on here. I don't understand how you can hate these certain voices. It makes me wonder what voices you think are "good". It's disturbing to me.
ClapYoHands- I hate her as a performer, not a person. I obviously have never met her and don't know her personally, so I won't go so far as to say I hate her as a person. I personally don't like her voice and acting, but that's just me. If other people like her, that's fine.

Working on projects that you will pay money someday to see.
I've been working in the industry before Lea was even born.
And if her performances of the songs from the show are any indication, then I think there are better choices for a Fanny out there.

I will say that when the director made her cry, it made me a little happy inside.
