she definitely would have sold this show out. but also sold out broadway. i hope samuel l. jackson is getting it together for this. everytime i look at him, all i think is "pulp fiction" and a jheri curl.
who do you think is a good replacement? maybe anika noni rose?

In her Piers Morgan interview she spoke at length about wanting to have the experience of a Broadway run. I have no idea whether she'd be awful or not, but it could be an interesting direction to go in and she would have a built in fanbase, right? Which could be a producer's dream. and the poster could save a little ink. They could be listed as Samuel L. - Janet /JACKSON.

I wouldn't pay to see Janet Jackson in this. I love her but I don't think she would be right for this. She's not the best actress.

It's a shame that Berry is going through such a complicated custody battle, however I honestly had no interest in seeing her in this, she's a pretty bad actress on screen, can't imagine she'd be any good on stage.

I'm not certain that Camae has to be played by a youngish woman. I think Viola could sail through the role like Berry never could.
And Viola could morph into any age, for my money.

I know the playwright. SHe would be very happy with Viola Davis. And the script can be changed. In fact, already has been...since....
Berry and Davis are exactly the same age. And Rose is far from being in her twenties. Late thirties I believe.
Jackson is alot older than Harewood....and both are much older than King.
