Why not see something new instead of a revival that gets done every 10 years?

I have seen a lot of regional, college, and even community productions of Anything Goes, and if you compensate for the fact that the current revival obviously has a bigger budget and some "names", the enjoyment derived is comparable (which is not a slam on the Roundabout production, just that all Anything Goes seems to need to stay afloat is the right energy level and servicable talent).
What I am saying is: try Sister Act because it's "new".
What are your tastes? Do you tend to like new shows rather then revivals? Cole Porter or Alan Menken? Such and such... They are both extremely enjoyable shows with powerhouse female leads. In the end it boils down to what you tend to like more, or if you want to see something new.
It's a hard decision, I have seen both and would want to see either again.
Haven't seen Sister Act (yet...I do Friday!), but I thought Anything Goes was a complete delight. As far as "fun" musicals go this year, your two choices are both top of the list. You really can't go wrong with either.

SISTER ACT. There is nothing special about the new Anything Goes. I am not saying it is bad... but don't let this be the trip to NY you could have seen Sister Act but went to see a quite forgettable revival instead.
i'd have to say go see sister act. i haven't seen anything goes, but the teasers are SO BORING! i mean, come on kathleen marshall, you have to be more creative with your tap choreography. straight rhythms do not make interesting choreography.
i left sister act on SUCH a high, that i would recommend it to anyone who wants to go to the theater for a fun night out. if you have any knowledge of the catholic faith (catholic school, grew up catholic) there are tons of jokes that will crack you up.
alan menken wrote the soundtrack to my childhood, so i'm an eternal fan, and while some songs are better than others, i definitely had a fantastic evening at the theater.
see sister act and forget about that boring old revival!
Sister Act for sure. This revival of Anything Goes is a dime a dozen. Nothing special at all. Sister Act, however, is new, highly enjoyable, and MUCH improved from its London incarnation. Definitely see it. (Also Patina's performance is not to be missed.)
