I'm happy with the first boot - she never should have been chosen as a wild card in the first place.

My top three -Pia, James & Casey. But I also really like Paul, Haley & Lauren and will keep an open mind about them moving up.

Karen should have stayed one more week. Haley does absoloutley nothing for me. Even though Naima was not so good this week. I want her to survive next week. The top 10 finalists who go on tour may earn up to a six-figure sum and that will help both her as well as her two daughters.

Caren never did it for me for some reason. Her voice is one of the best in the competition, but there is a wooden "pageant" quality that really bugged me. Still, I thought it was Haley to go.

I expect James and Pia to be the final two. Lovin' Lauren too. Stefano is doing well, but the rest have disappointed me, especially Jacob and Thia, who I thought would do much better.

Did anyone else think Fergie looked really different last night? I think her eye brows were normal instead of Spock-like. That could be why. I don't know what it was, but she looked really different.

"I expect James and Pia to be the final two."

Could be, but Casey might crash that party. Also, for as good as her vocals have been, Pia doesn't own the stage like she'll need to in later rounds. Stefano must have a presence that comes across better live than on TV, because I don't see the magic that the judges do. Naima has a star quality, but her vocals have been off the last two weeks.

I'm not gonna lie. I don't like Scotty. But last night that song sounded like some cheesy weird cover of that song.

I've never been a fan of Stefano, but his performance last night was pretty awful. Credit to the judges for giving him appropriate criticism. I didn't know how Scotty would get through Motown, but I guess that cheesy cover was about all he could do. Lucky for him (probably) this was relatively early in the compeition.

I just can't stand Scotty. All the smirking and his weird plastic looking Pee Herman hair. ugh.

Jennifer Lopez has stepped up with actual critiques..but Steven Tyler says a whole lot of nothing. He's like the new Paula.

..and Chef Ramsey insulting that mom's food..LOL!

I didn't know Lionel Ritchie was Motown! Also, I hated Scotty. My daughter said he scoops when he sings plus I can't get past the fact that he looks like the stuffed monkeys that play the cymbals. Why is it every time they do Motown, someone always choosed Heat Wave and Dancin' in the Streets? There are so many great songs that don't get used.

My guess is that their selection of songs is always far more limited than the announced theme. I doubt they could get the rights to the entire Motown songbook.

I suppose Brian but they have to have the rights to more than 11 songs!

I hope Scotty gets the boot next. IMO, his voice is terrible. However I can see why Country Fans would swoon over him. But that's the thing, he can't do ANYTHING except country, and that's not going to get him far. Plus his facial expressions are hysterical.

I try not to be cynical, but that looked like a total setup (by the producers...Casey seemed genuine).

madbrian - that's EXACTLY what we said - there is NO WAY he got less votes than Haley.

It justified using the save, getting it out of the way, and it gave them a top 11 on the tour?

What a joke.

I don't know if the judges did the right thing because even though Casey is good I don't think he has the potential to win the competition. Haley should've went home tonight.

According to that website that measures the dialtones for each contestant (it starts with d and ends with idol)I don't know if I can actually say it on here. Anyway, according to them Casey came in dead last this week and was slotted to go home!! Also, Scotty comes in first every single week..America just loves him!! lol

I really don't like Paul and Scotty, though I can see why people vote for them. Those reasons have very little to do with their vocal abilities, though. If either of them wins, I'll be very disappointed, and not just because neither of them is Karen or Pia lol.
And on that note, why can't they have the full top 13 go on tour? It just seems silly to eliminate 3 (well, now 2) people from the tour who made it to the voting rounds.

No surprises tonight. I am happy that Naima will at least get to go on tour. They say that the constestants can earn up to $300,000 on the tour and that will help both her and her daughters.

Forget about the contestants for a minute, what the eff is going on with Fantasia??? That awful dress, ridiculous hair, and soooo not in good voice.
