You could list endless musicals, but select a few titles of musicals which you just love, or if not love, appreciate that they are good titles! A few that made the shortlist: Company, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Play, I know) but my two favourites have to be:
A Little Night Music - just love the image that I get when I think of this, summer in the country, subtle music in the background, wind blowing curtains(!)
Spring Awakening - again, good imagery e.g. birth/rebirth, sexual awakening, flowers blooiming in springtime etc.
Not musical, but I agree that Tennessee Williams has (in addition to the aforementioned CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF) some gorgeous titles:
A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE
THE GLASS MENAGERIE
SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH
Not only are they thought-provoking, but they trip off the tongue.
Salve, Regina, Mater misericordiae
Vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra
Salve, Salve Regina
Ad te clamamus exsules filii Eva
Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes
O clemens O pia
Wouldn't call it a 'favorite' but Urinetown gets the best reactions from everyone I've ever mentioned this as a show title. I of course, have to go into the whole story about the guy who visited Europe on a shoestring budget...he write his story..they turn it into a musical...and the rest is history.
IMO, Urinetown was as clever and fun as Drowsey Chaparone and Spelling Bee. I enjoyed them all! Wish I could say the same for much of the offerings in NY today.
As much as I love the musicals where the title tells you what the show is about- The Music Man, Oklahoma!, Chicago, etc., I love titles like Follies, A Little Night Music, Next to Normal and so forth, that leave you guessing. Those are really my favorites.
The layered meanings of 'Pacific Overtures' has always wowed me, but I must deliver the cake to "Rachael Lily Rosenbloom (and don't you ever forget it)"
