Kyle becomes famous for being a pest. No doubt he's thrilled with that. Even the writer linked to - and I use the term "writer" loosely, as a large portion of his article(s) are quotes from this thread - mentions that the thread is so long because kyle posts in it so much. Roughly 25% of the posts on this page alone are kyle's.

Congrats, kyle! You're an internationally known troll!

joey changed my age from 45 to 46.... one year in one day.... its metaphorical because thats what WOTV did...

You might think he's a pest or a troll, but at the end of the day, kyle articulated the same views as those expressed by most of the critics about this mediocre production.

Also, since I'm here, I finally saw the show. I didn't like it very much. I would maybe see it again, but only after listening to the cast recording a few times and getting to like the music more. I liked it okay, but think I might like the score more after revisiting it a few times. Overall, it was a little bland and didn't feel like a story that warranted telling (I'm sure that's not the case in the movie, just in this adaptation). I was a little bummed not to like it more, but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen. To be cliche, I loved Laura Benanti. I also really liked the song "Lie to Me" and how it was done with the dubbing- a cool moment.

On another note, I had some of the silliest people sitting around me in the theater. A woman behind me at intermission exclaimed "I have never seen so much money put into a show." Really? Really? I don't know Phantom's budget, but if this woman is seeing Women on the Verge, I'm sure she caught Phantom in the last 20 years. I don't believe that this show looks anywhere near as expensive as Phantom does. The man sitting next to her was wondering why it was set in Spain. Huh. Good question. This same man had seen the movie and still wondered why it was set in Spain. This same man also had read the book that the movie was based on. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the movie was based on a book. The woman in front of me took until intermission to realize what she'd seen Sherie Rene Scott in: Everyday Rapture. How do you see Everyday Rapture and forget that Sherie Rene Scott was in it.

I was also shocked with how many people were critical of the show during intermission. I just think it's a little rude to criticize while you're still in the theatre as it might affect how other people who are enjoying the show feel about it. But that's just me.

Haha that's funny about the Everyday Rapture thing.

While I was waiting in line to get into the theater, a woman behind me said (looking at Sherie Rene Scott in the production shots outside the theater) "Ohh that's right! The lady from Rent is in this." I'm assuming she was referring to Idina Menzel?
