I was going to see Ragtime on the 16th, but seeing as it's closing, I have to pick an alternative. Since my parents only want to pay around $40 a ticket, I have it narrowed down to Memphis or Hair. I don't get to see shows that often, so which on is more worth seeing? I'm open to other suggestions if the ticket prices are cheap enough.
HAIR. Definitely. I saw the show about a week ago and everyone in the rear mezzanine was able to move down as the show started anyway; there were a lot of empty seats/rows in the mid mezz.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I haven't seen this version of Hair, but I recommend Memphis! Get the CD of Memphis and the CD of Hair and decide that way.

You can get your ticket refunds by going down to the box office. If the show has already closed by the time you get into the city, you can contact Ticketmaster or Telecharge if you bought it from them (forgot which one sells Ragtime).
See Hair. No doubt about that.

Hair & Memphis are two of my favorite shows! Whichever show you choose, you'll have a great time! You should probably listen to the cast recordings and decide based upon how much you like each of them. Have fun!

HAIR all the way. The way the show is set up, it really does not matter where you sit. The action is all over the stage and the theatre and you can enjoy it from any seat. It's a great show and I would definitely see it over Memphis.
