I liked it..
Just finished the 10th episode of A Teacher. An appropriate but uncomfortable ending. I thought both actors were good.
Just finished Love, Victor and thought it was sweet although a few of the supporting high school students were a tad over the top. But the lead, the girlfriend and parents were good.
I watched Chelsea Handler's hilarious special "Evolve" last night and laughed a lot. It's not for yankeefan, if you get my very specific meaning. What I love about it is she addresses all the things I used to find problematic in her work. It's inspiring when people continue to learn new things and grow and "evolve," as the title says. It's also great to see people do it publicly. (Though she does owe a tip of the hat to Hannah Gadsby, but then, don't we all?)
All garden lovers and lovers of creativity--The Great Big Garden Fight. It's British, 10/12 couples given 15 hours to create, each episode, an animal, creature, gown etc but of a ginormous size. The couples are all fascinating[the father/son will cause numerous tears as well as some of the creations]. I was just spell-bound by the talent, creativity and just the sheer pleasure watching things appear from peoples imagination.
I have never watched cooking/building/red rose shows and never will but for me this was just mind-blowingly beautiful and emotional.
I just watched the Katherine Heigl series. I kept with it however it was slow moving at times. The girl who played the teenage version of Heigl was good and the male lead was sexy and deftly handled the comedy. The writing was a b version of This Is Us which made it feel less authentic.
^totally agree with your assessment on Firefly Lane- weak writing, boring acting, and misguided direction...after 3 episodes, I'm out.
A show i marveled at was Blown Away, a beautifully artistic, glass blowing competition.

These are not on Netflix but ACORNTV and BRITBOX. I really enjoy a lot of the UK police dramas like LINE OF DUTY. Most recently I've been watching Season 2 of THE BAY. I would highly recommend both of these.
Bump I just watched both Kissing Booth movies and thought they were cute. Some nice male eye candy. They reminded me of old Walt Disney teen romantic comedy movies.
^a lot of that was filmed near me, they used a friend's home...they are both in it, but only as extras.
