Since when did Flatbush become more war-torn than Syria?

I agree Wexy.  It's stupid, racist , and full of misinformation.   Thanks again Mr Roxy.

Wexy graduated from there. Exactly when was the graduation?

The theater just reopened after being closed for almost 40 years. Read all the posts especially the one with facts and figures re crime. Hey if you or anyone else wants to go great.Everyone is entitled to their opinion and to decide accordingly . Naturally , the crime stats are false and like everything else it is racist.

I know having an opinion that does not go along with the horde does not endear me or others to the vast majority. Having a differing opinion is dangerous. I was waiting for when racist appear on this thread. I am surprised it took this long.

For whatever it is worth, the person I mentioned comes from out of state and does not read this board.

I've been to The Kings Theater in Flatbush twice and am going back a third time, I'm going to the Beach Boys concert on 02/09. I have had nothing but good experiences going to the venue and absolutely no problems on the train, so to me it's a bit baffling to read all this information that will only serve to deter future patrons from visiting this venue.

It's unfortunate that this information if not accurate gets around and scares people off.

I saw "Annie" at Kings last night and had no problem at all getting there via public transport. And the theatre is absolutely gorgeous to boot.

I always liked you Roxy. I graduated in 73 when the place was a dump. I've lost all respect for you.. Now when everyone gets on you ass for being a jerk I won't defend you.

Yes, but TDF and the naughty places Roxy goes, usually require some form of subscription/membership dues. Goldstar doesn't. Just sign up, and you get free tickets.

Oh wexy, you're going to be ignored now, which is what Roxy does when he just doesn't want to know.

I was there as well. The Q train to Beverly Road was very close to the theater and fast.  The theater is indeed gorgeous and the place was packed with families who brought several children each. Their behavior was  impeccable-no bathroom breaks until intermission and very few crying babies. They all loved the show and some sang along but it wasn't a bother.
