"You're timeless to me" from Hairspray Its fun to see live with all the improv and jokes, but on the recording its pretty boring
OMG, I am exactly the opposite. I love the song, but stopping to tell 21st century jokes in the 60's was effin' annoying. We get it, Bruce, yer rilly funny, ha-ha... Don't break character, just sing. It's a clever little ditty.
However, I'm with the person who said "Cooties." That song sux.

Seeing "One More Kiss" from Follies on this thread depressed me. If one song can sum up an entire show, it's that one. ("Dreams are a big mistake/All dreamers must awake/On, then with the dance/No backward glance/Or my heart will break/Never look back" etc.) I love its tranquility right before all hell breaks loose, with "Could I Leave You" into the "Loveland" hysteria. It's really the only moment where one of the older characters harmonizes with their younger self. I also love that in a show already offering up a requiem for the musical's past with all of the various pastiches, "One More Kiss" reaches even further back to the operettas of a Victor Herbert or Sigmund Romberg for its influence, so that it sounds even more antiquated. And for all of its rhapsodic melody, there's something creepy and unnerving about it. That score wouldn't be the same for me without it.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

ATTENTION FANS: I will be played by James Barbour in the upcoming musical, "BroadwayWorld: The Musical."
Oh my God, I love "Private Conversation" from Side Show. It's a heartbreaking song.
I also disagree with "The Morning of the Dragon." I didn't like it that much until I saw the show, but I loved the dancing and the song definitely serves its purpose.
Anyway, TBH, pretty much every show has at least one song that I skip. But the one I actively avoid is "Do It Alone, Leo" from Parade.
And, unless the singer is amazing, I can't stand "Bring Him Home" in Les Mis.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

"Let's Walk" from the Light in the Piazza...it's pretty boring "I'm A Sentimental Man" from Wicked "Sorry-Grateful" from Company "A Heart Full of Love" from Les Mis and "Stars" from Les Mis. Empty Chairs at Empty Tables - Les Mis Also agreed with Bring Him Home -- unless Drew Sarich or John Owen-Jones or someone else amazing (as already stated) is doing it. Most of "You Can Get Away With Anything" from The Woman in White annoys me too.
