I haven't heard any reports of there even being an invited dress.

The more I read about these balcony rows the more I wish I hadn’t buy them.

Seems too far, especially for a play.

If anyone wants, I can sell for $25.

If not, I will report Saturday (they sold me a rush for tomorrow) lol

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD Previews

Playbill cover (presume it will change closer to opening). I really like it!

Hi all! I rushed To Kill a Mockingbird this morning. Got there at 7:30 and was second in line. The prices are as follows:

$50 box seats
$30 balcony, last two rows-ish.

There is also standing room but only if the show sells out.

I went with the box. You’d have to pay me to sit in that balcony. The box office says it is partial view but nothing’s as partial IMO than the rear balcony.

Has using a rehearsal photo as the interim playbill cover always been a thing that I've only started recently noticing?

It's been something that Rudin's productions have been doing for a few seasons, for reasons yet unexplained (the major exception being Hello, Dolly).

I think it makes everything look dour.

It’s become popular the past few years with Rudin productions.

I don't like that curtain.  It looks like Scout is going to do a one-woman show or a TED talk about her childhood.  I guess it could work for the memory aspect of the memory play.

Thought the balcony was fine for Hello Dolly. Not partial view at all.

I sat front row balcony a couple of times for Dolly and it was a nice view. I would think the view would be just fine a few rows back as long as you're not behind a bar.

Front balcony is a whole different story from rear balcony. Front balcony is fine. I had to stand half of act two for Dolly because the sightlines for the rear balcony were atrocious.

Hey folks, I was at the final dress rehearsal last night. I don't usually write here about my experiences at final dress rehearsals because they are still figuring stuff out, but I felt compelled to tell you all that this show is an absolute must to go see. Word is going to spread and this show will be a hard ticket. One of the best productions I have seen over the past year. Being their final dress, the show is in very very good shape. The production value is top notch... the set fills the entire Shubert stage, the actors were brilliant, the writing I felt gave new energy to a story we all know so well. Sorkin has really brought out layers and complexity not only to the main characters, but also the supporting roles. Sher has staged it in an epic way. The first acts was 90 minutes long and the second act was about 85 minutes long, so right now it is a little close to 3 hours. But honestly, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and it didn't feel like 3 hours, it moves as quickly as what you would expect from a Sorkin script. I don't want to go into details out of respect for the producers about what elements I loved and what I think they need to work on, but I just wanted to chime in and say go buy a ticket if you haven't already done so.

Thanks for your report! It’s already selling quite well, so it will be interesting to see if it becomes a true sellout once word spreads!

It’s three hours?! Yowza. And is it, in fact, presented as a memory okay?

Would SRO be better than last row balcony?

Again, I don't want to comment on specifics because they haven't had their first preview performance yet, but I think that Sher makes brilliant use of the three kids in "recalling" the story and the facts... but don't let the idea that it is a memory play fool you... the action is very present, in the moment and high stakes throughout. It is an engaging show. I am sure you will hear from folks who strongly disagree with my opinions. And the production is not perfect. But I felt it necessary to share with this fine community that I think it is worth seeing and a captivating night of theater. After they get into some previews and I think I would be more comfortable sharing more details.
