***When I did standing room, they sold the tix 15 minutes after selling the lottery tix. So for the 8pm show, they sold SRO at around 6:30pm, not 7:15pm! Just an FYI not to leave the line to go to the bathroom or to grab dinner after the lottery.
Yes, Hedwig does invite SRO folks (especially those who are assigned to stand by the aisle) to sit and fill up empty seats in the front. He did that halfway through the show though when it's quite certain those people aren't attending.
As for Aug 15th, I saw that too online yesterday but after a few hours, I saw the date again on telecharge. Odd.
Yes, but now that we know it's 5 a.m., that means you have to go even earlier than that to be safe for the next two shows, and the weekend will be even crazier.
Just out of curiosity, how many spots did they sell today? I'm happy that I got to see the show twice on Sunday... this last week is going to be insane.

On a sidenote --- I did check telecharge and they released a ton of tix for Saturday and Sunday (except the last show.) All of them cost $450 though. I'm surprised they still had tickets! I looked for the same dates last weekend and didn't see a single ticket being sold.
I was able to go today. They gave out 14 SRO tickets, which was surprising to all of us.
The first people got there right around 3 AM, the next couple at 3:30, then there were a couple of people who got there at 5 AM, and the last group of people to get in got there at 5:15 AM. They let us know around 11 AM that there were 14 spots. Had amazing seats right behind center orchestra, and the usher was even really nice and told me (without my asking for one) where to go for a "surprise" at the end of the show, which ended up being a Hurt Locker playbill :) It goes without saying that the show was incredible, so glad I got to see NPH in his last week.
Phew! Thank you! Well keep your fingers crossed! It's my first day back in the city after summer vacation and I'm training to be an RA and I really could use a Broadway show after my first training day and three months of not seeing anything :) But I won't get my hopes up too much!
I was there at 530pm. It looked just just before curtain. Hundreds of people outside. Total madhouse.

If anyone is interested they have a handful of tickets left for Andrews first show! I purchased one in the balcony for $59! And I spoke to the person at the box office and she said this past weekend people lined up at midnight the night before for standing room (Saturday into Sunday) this week she said people have been lining up at 3:00am
At least 4 of yesterday's lotto winners got second row center. I was in the first row and talked to one of them

I cannot imagine waiting overnight for a show- I could NEVER see myself doing that (but who knows what the future holds- my opinion my change. LOL) - I could see doing it if i had someone to switch out with and was able to get out of line, but to do it all by myself would be madness. But to each his own. I always wondered where the lottery tickets were- interesting. I was able to move front row when i saw the show. It was fun.
I just wonder who the hell has the stamina for that. I would never be able to enjoy a show after a wait like that. I'd fall asleep or pass out. God bless the people who can. If you're a tourist it's a gross waste of time in NYC IMHO.
