I had preordered my copy from amazon a month ago. Now that the release date is finally here, amazon has this listed as "temporarily out of stock." So annoying! I hope they get more copies in soon - I want mine now! Can't wait to hear the score again.
I figured there would be a delay. It's a new label and it's Wildhorn. How long did it take for the Dracula CD to finally be released? It would be nice if they make some sort of announcement though.
The digital download from iTunes is stellar. It's a well produced cast album, and the score, of which I'm a fan, and the cast sound fantastic. As for the CD release, it's not surprising there's a delay, and hopefully it's only a few days. Wildhorn's team promoted its release just today. Excluding the Dracula debacle, he's very good at getting his music out there.
I ordered my copy on March 2 and according to amazon.com it should be delivered on Thursday, April 26. It hasn't shipped yet though so I fail to see how that is going to happen even with my two-day shipping

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
I'm just curious: do most of you purchase your cast recordings digitally nowadays? Or do you still purchase the actual CD? I'm new to building my collection. A few times I've downloaded things digitally because I like the instant gratification. But a CD is nice to have, too, especially if there's additional artwork or the libretto/book is included. So I'm just wondering what most people here prefer?
Hey guys. Van Dean from Broadway Records here. The Bonnie & Clyde CDs arrived at Amazon today. We had shipped them several thousand copies from the manufacturer on the 17th but, unfortunately, they had an internal issue with the PO number and it got delayed. I have confirmation that Amazon received them today but it may take a few days to get to you all. Sincere apologies for the delay. If you're in the city, Colony Records has the CDs in stock as does most of the small Broadway shops around Times Square. Thanks for supporting Bonnie & Clyde everyone. :)
Bonnie & Clyde now shows up as "in stock" on Amazon.com. Thank you everyone for your patience. As for iTunes, we have been in constant communication with them and they stated that the glitch would be fixed soon.
MadAboutTheBoy...I prefer to have the actual CD version over the digital copy. When possible I enjoy getting the CD book signed. Looking forward to getting Jeremy and Laura to sign this for me. I used to have my CDs signed more frequently (started probably 20 years ago) but with eBay came tons of autograph sellers that have made the stagedoor crowds unbearable. The sellers are really ruthless and unpleasant too.
