I think I said this before, but after a performance of Sweeney Todd she came out and was lovely...when she came over to me I told her "I just loved you as "Lady Bird Johnson"...she gave me the look of death.....smiled and walked on.
She only poses for pictures if you actually get a chance to visit with her backstage.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
I went to the stage door for Shows For Days a few weeks ago and she was nice but flew down the signing line fairly fast and when I asked about getting a picture she said that she was meeting a friend.
Wanted to report back on my own Shows for Days Stage Door experience. Saw the show Friday July 24 8pm, which i think is important if you want to catch Patti so you're not competing with the King and I stage door. There was about 5 people waiting after the show, as most of the cast trickled out Patti came out was seemingly in a hurry, but very nicely signed for everyone, her full name! no "Patti Lu-(squiggle)" she even signed my Evita windowcard, which I was afraid she would skip over. One of the girls did ask for a photo but she replied "no, I'm not taking pictures tonight". She swiftly left shouting to the 5 of us "thank you all for coming, thank you very much!" All in all I'm very happy with the experience! https://instagram.com/p/5kDiAqIdxW/?taken-by=jsh3281
