"Yes Kad. She did figuratively bitch slap Broadway's sweet heart Sutton Foster."

Well, not just that. Her vocal performance in Legally Blonde did not win her favors with the people who really count.

I know she pissed off the producers of Wicked. But, is it true that no one on the creative team for Blonde liked working with her besides Jerry?

bdwayfan45, i appreciate you posting this and I dont find anything offensive in what you shared. I just dont get what Laura is going after. No idea at all-is she trying to become some country/sexy hybrid, like a Britney Underwood. It didn't work for Jessica Simpson.

As an aside, I saw Sutton Foster this past weekend and she is clearly building a great audience outside of NY and honing her skills as a solo performer. She was warm, hysterically funny, in amazing voice and had the room eating out of the palm of her hand. It was ironic that while Sutton was probably asleep after a stunning live set,on the very same night Laura was on a bar in Manhattan lipsynching in her panties @ 2am. Karma is a BEEYOTCH!

While Christian Borle continues scooting by the karma train.

He's managed to be a karma houdini, yes, but neither he nor Bundy will ever reach Foster's level of success at this point. And Borle is a bit harder to cast, he's a specific type and he's not a typical leading man in any way.

So really, Sutton wins out in the long run. Her career has managed to weather some flops and she has the hearts of critics, including the almighty Ben Brantley, and audiences. Bundy's stuck lipsyncing for drunk gays at Splash in the middle of the night and Borle... what's he even up to lately?

The first song is catchy, but I can not imagine her serving up that performance to country music's central fan base.

Oh my god, you all act like her dressing that way at SPLASH is some kind of surprise/insult. It's a BAR--you don't go there to read your bible. You go there to dance (while hopefully dressing sexy). Yes, her ass was hanging out--but she was AT A BAR--not the Grammys.

I very much disagree with you, legallysam.
