Thanks to whoever suggested show-score.  I wasn't able to attend on one of the social nights suggested and delayed purchasing tickets because I was on the fence.  I used show-score for tickets at $159 for late June and am pleased by the seat assignments, L10 and L12.  It took several days to get the assignment but I had noticed those two seats were pulled from inventory w/in 24 hours of my purchase.  They are right next to premium and would have cost $209.  The box office must really try to give you the best non-premium seats available.  There is a also a $129 price point but I had never used show-score before so opted for the higher.

Dang, I'm sorry to hear that. One site that tracks this info said the front row was pretty good. I'm very tall and have a front row mezz seat in about 3 weeks. At least I have an aisle seat, so hopefully I'll survive.

The rotating stage is best seen from the mezz IMO. Our party saw the show in B10-14 in the mezz and those seats are fantastic. Perfect view.

Has anyone seen it from the balcony? Is it worth the extra money to sit in the mezz or orchestra?

I saw it from the left orchestra but in the center aisle, row N I believe, and I saw it from the last row of Center Mezz. Both have their merits. I feel like some of the lighting has a more powerful impact in the orchestra. Especially the lights that swing out and the stage separating. But as said above, the staging and rotating stage looks better from the Mezz

The Balcony is pretty steep and cramped (legroom-wise) at the Walter Kerr, so you might find it uncomfortable after a while; the main complaint about the Balcony seems to be comfort rather than view (although the views are comparatively "worse" than the Orchestra and Mezz).

I think if you're on a budget and can deal with the downsides then it's an option, but I've seen a lot of comments that the Mezz (< link with pic!) is the real star for Hadestown. People who've seen the show will hopefully be able to provide some proper Balcony feedback for you, however :)

Where does most of the show take place? Would it be better to be to the far sides on Mezz L or Mezz R?

Almost all of the action is center stage, but there is a pivotal moment that may be cut off by seats that are far house right. I would recommend a seat on the left side. I sat in row M about five seats off the far aisle and had a perfect view.

Ditto on staying house left. I was on the fifth row of the mezz house left on the aisle closest to center; great view and a climactic moment is staged favoring that view.

Just remembering you've had an "and" When you're back to "or" Makes the "or" mean more than it did before

Late reply but I just sat in the balcony on Thursday. Here’s the link to my view from my seat pic I submitted: https://aviewfrommyseat.com/photo/114445/Walter+Kerr+Theatre/section-Balcony/row-B/seat-22/

I also just saw Hadestown from front row balcony. Had to lean forward to see full stage but didn’t feel too bad since only one row behind so they could stand or lean as well. View was fine, but my biggest complaint was that it was harder to hear all the words. I wish I had listened to the music before or just splurged for mezzanine seating.
