Did anyone see the new show ABC put on right before MF? A family with three different couples in three different stages of relationships and the transitions in and out of commercials were photographs.
I had never watched MF till last night. I had friends tell me I'd love it and I'd laugh. Not to mention I' a fan of Sofia. Now don't get me wrong I did laugh a few times but I'm just curious, is this show sauppose to be pointless? I guess I just didn't "get it".
Seinfeld was pointless- that's what made it so funny! Modern Family is just funny and a great escape in the middle of the week! Sophia Vergara is HILARIOUS! I wish Charo could come on to play her mom, or aunt, or anyone else...
I thought the episode had a strong beginning ie 'Iron Cross' that showed good slapstick and the mnemonic device Phil had but it really tailed off. It felt like there were a lot of story lines going on that in those old family sitcoms would just center on one or not be as separated from each other as each story did. Not really a 'wow' episode, but it did have its moments. Updated On: 9/23/10 at 02:20 PM
Wow- There's a spirited debate on the main board whether some shows are "good" and some are "bad" or if it's all just opinion. This exchange has pretty much proven that it's all in the eyes of the beholder. Updated On: 9/23/10 at 02:21 PM
I finally started watching it - I watched the season finale and then last night's premiere.... I found it really funny and enjoyable. It has even earned a coveted "season pass" on my tivo which is a very high award from me! lol
BroadwayBoobs: I'll give all of you who weren't there a hint of who took the pictures ...it rhymes with shameless
Why, oh why, do an entire episode about Mitchell trying to overcome his PDA issue and then not have him kiss his partner? God, they have officially made a mountain out of a molehill. They should never have tried to address it.
"Why, oh why, do an entire episode about Mitchell trying to overcome his PDA issue and then not have him kiss his partner?"
They did kiss, but in the end it was actually downplayed. It was at the end of the scene when the family confronted their issues with PDAs, and Cam & Mitchell kissed in the background. All in all, I thought they handled it pretty well. We'll see if their PDAs become as common as the other adults...

Okay, I stand corrected. I will let the air out of my rage balloon. I mean, I know Mitchell kissed the top of Cam's head in the season premiere, anyway.
Now that I've calmed down, I would like to praise the hilarity of Cam falling over the couch and into the chip bowl.
