Kdogg36, those precise things you mentioned can/does happen to anybody.  So what's your point?  I lost a job years ago, because my immediate supervisor learned I was Jewish.  Even had the gall to tell me I was going to Hell as a result of it.  Two days later I was fired..  No reason given for my termination.  Also lost a job years ago, because against my better judgment I attended the opening of the beaches in the city where I live.  I stood with my friends in front of the known beach gay bar during the parade.   As the Shriners marched through in clown getup, one in particular started staring at me, obviously recognizing me. I recognized him also as the President of one of my bigger accounts.  The next day I was fired. No reason given.  My point....bad things can happen to anybody.

Your city has a parade when they open beaches?

Yes, LOL  It's a big deal.  By open, I mean the official start to the late Spring/Summer season.  It's called the "Opening of the Beaches".  It's a two day event.  Saturday and Sunday.  The parade is on Sunday.

I want to move there.

"My point....bad things can happen to anybody."

Yes. Bad things can happen to anyone. That does not mean instutional racism doesn't exist in the United States of America. There is an abudance of evidence based research to back this up. Certain groups in the US are MORE likely to be affected by racism. This would include homophobia and anti-semitism.

I see my last post was removed. What kind of 1 sided moderators are running this site? Weird.

But anyway, these situations are not exceptional. When I speak to an african American person, it's actually exceptional if race is not brought up in each and every situation within the minute. And like I explained in that post, that's creating a separation.

I blame the upbringing, as soon as kids learn they are more than race they will not pull the race card in each and every situation and learn how to reason. I explained this much better in my last post, with good examples but I've had a long day now and can't duplicate what I explained there precisely anymore.

The point is, we all should acknowledge racism is a 2 way street.

This does not reflect my experience at all, which leads me to believe that at least one of three things is true: (1) your claim is complete baloney; (2) you tend to choose an exceptionally obnoxious group of friends to hang out with; or (3) these individuals are responding, consciously or not, to your own obsession with blaming people of color for racism. I could believe any of these things.

I don't think your post should have been deleted, and I'd ask the BWW moderators to be more tolerant in the future. Since they're not the government, though, they're free to ignore me.

If RacistDave doesn't want his posts deleted maybe he should try Reddit.

Kdogg36, it's not only my friends, it's also if you open any videoclip on youtube where Trevor Noah talks for longer than 1 minute, to name an example. And it's also people I don't know and who don't know me. People on this board when they hyperventilate when a cast is 95% poc in stead of 100%. A certain black actress attacking an inncocent 16 year old girl on twitter because she did not dreamcast her in the role and color she would have liked, a false race accusation about a certain person getting fired, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Thanks for you comment about the unfairly deleted post. God knows what kind of people are moderators here.

Is there room for freedom of speech with properly, well founded and fair explanations and reasoning? Then I must take a look there, thanks!

I dunno Dave, you seem more race conscious than the average person in here.  I think minorities have a legitimate beef with the structure of our economy, and if I were in that minority I'd probly be one of the unhappy.  This country has been energized by white losers, they voted Trump in.  That is your group, know that 90+ % of BWW is revolted.

Anyone who thinks only in race is a loser. That includes Trump and 90% of this board.

It's not about your frustrations, it's about how you handle them.

Thinking: "well, we have the right to behave like Hitler now too (demanding 100% of a certain race group instead of 95%, and the whole list of examples mentioned), because we must get even. People will see us as extra human this way". Is not the solution.

Good news!

Model fired by L'Oreal for remarks on racism will be face of rival campaign

"In a statement Illamasqua said: “Munroe embodies diversity and individuality; she is not scared to be truly herself. But Munroe doesn’t just stop there. She speaks out about the issues that affect not just her but the rest of our generation, seeking to improve the society we live in.”

So a racist person who got fired is now hired by other racists.

Bad news.
