Victorian Lyric Opera Company presents “The New Moon” 6 Performances | February 24 & 25 and March 3 & 4 at 8:00pm | February 26 and March 5 at 2:00pm The New Moon is an operetta with music by Sigmund Romberg and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, Frank Mandel, and Laurence Schwab. Set in 1792, shortly before the French Revolution, the story centers on a young French aristocrat in disguise, who has fled his country and falls in love with the daughter of a prominent New Orleans planter.
