Summerfest is Olney Theatre Center's annual open house running from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm, coinciding with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated Bernard Family Theatre and the brand new Jim & Carol Trawick Education Center and Gana L. Dunlop Makers' Center. The day includes free performances from community groups such as Culkin School of Traditional Irish Dance, Rhythmaya Dance, Fairfax Chinese Dance Troupe, and others, along with workshops, classes, and a Summerfest Marketplace featuring 17+ local vendors. Insider programming includes discussions with artistic staff, behind-the-scenes tours of new facilities, and performances of songs from the upcoming 26-27 season.
