Katori Hall's Olivier Award-winning drama The Mountaintop comes to Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater following an acclaimed run at the Alley Theatre in Houston. Obie Award winner Robert O'Hara (Public Theater's Wild with Happy) makes his Arena Stage directorial debut with The Mountaintop, which is produced in association with the Alley Theatre and runs March 29-May 12, 2013 in the Kreeger Theater. Marin Alsop Leads BSO in World Premiere of Symphonic Play: 'Wagner: A Composer Fit for a King' 4/19 & 20

Marin Alsop leads the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in a special Off the Cuff performance of the world premiere of Didi Balle's symphonic play A Composer Fit For A King: Wagner & Ludwig II on Friday, April 19 at 8:15 p.m. at the Music Center at Strathmore and Saturday, April 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The symphonic play will feature selections from Wagner's The Ring Cycle illuminated through performances by actors Richard Poe, Pomme Koch and Tony Tsendeas. Way Off Broadway Presents DISNEY'S CINDERELLA, 4/6-7/28

In recent seasons, some of the most popular and successful productions at Way Off Broadway's Children's Theatre have carried the name "Disney" above the title. It was during the 2011 Season that the Children's Theatre at Way Off Broadway produced its first Disney show, 101 Dalmatians. That was followed in 2012 by Disney's Winnie the Pooh and 2013's Season-opener, Disney's Aladdin. This time, there will be no waiting for another Disney show to appear at Way off Broadway, the areas only children's lunch theatre, because following the theatre's production of Aladdin will be one of the most beloved tales of all time, Disney's Cinderella. Disney's Cinderella will appear at the Children's Theatre at Way Off Broadway for an extended run from April 6 - July 28, 2013.

Silver Spring Stage presents Frost/Nixon by Peter Morgan, directed by Kevin O'Connell and produced by Devon Seybert, the engrossing dramatization of how the then-washed up talk-show host David Frost convinced the disgraced Richard Nixon to be interviewed for television. Frost/Nixon will perform weekends April 5 to April 27. Silver Spring Stage is excited to announce that Jim Reston, one of the team members that prepared David Frost for the historic Frost/Nixon interviews, will participate in a post-performance discussion on Sunday April 21.

Written by Maija DiGiorgio, Adam Greenbaum, and Tony Martinelli. Choreographed by Heather McConnell. Directed by Rain Pryor. The production will begin with a Dress Rehearsal on Thursday, March 21, will officially open the following night, and run through April 6. This spring CENTERSTAGE presents two landmark plays, each a response to the legacy of Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun: the Baltimore Premiere of the award-winning Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris, and the World Premiere of CENTERSTAGE Artistic Director Kwame Kwei-Armah's Beneatha's Place. The two plays will be produced in rotating repertory as The Raisin Cycle, using a single company of actors and a shared design team, under the direction of Derrick Sanders.

The Baltimore Playwrights Festival (www.baltplayfest.org) continues its Thirty-Second Season with the reading of two new plays and a new musical on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Fells Point Corner Theater, 251 South Ann Street, Baltimore, MD, 410-276-7837 (www.fpct.org). Starting at 11:00 a.m., plays to be read are The Truth and Consequences of War, by Charles Durgin, followed at 1:00 p.m. by Unworthy of Love, by Michael Reimann, and at 3:00 p.m. by the new musical Affair of Honour, by William F. Reed. After each reading there will be a discussion of the script with the playwright, director and actors. The event is free, and the general public is encouraged to attend.

Registration has begun for Howard County Arts Council's (HCAC) spring educational programs at the Howard County Center for the Arts (HCCA) in Ellicott City.
