:This provocative work that won both a Tony Award and an Academy Award, weaves a confrontation between mediocrity and genius into a tale of breathtaking dramatic power. Salieri has given himself to God so that he might realize his sole ambition to be a great composer while Mozart is a silly, graceless young man who has that which is beyond Salieri's envious grasp: Genius.
