RELATIVELY SPEAKING, three one-act comedies by the prolific writing trio of Ethan Coen, Elaine May and Woody Allen, begins previews on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The album is produced by Rock-it Science Records. RSR's popular series Broadway's Carols for a Cure is currently in its twelfth year. This highly anticipated annual holiday release features casts from the current Broadway line-up of shows performing new and traditional holiday music. Broadway's Carols for a Cure offers a 'snapshot' of each season, as the casts and orchestras from each show on Broadway perform their own holiday track. Since 1999, Broadway's Carols for a Cure has featured the creative talents of thousands of Broadway's brightest stars and has raised over $3 million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

On Friday, August 26, Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Mario Cantone, Scott Adsit, Joy Behar, Tovah Feldshuh, Eugene Pack and Dayle Reyfel teamed up for tow special edition performances of Celebrity Autobiography at Guild Hall in the Hamptons. The box office for the Broadway premiere of Katori Hall's Olivier Award-winning play, The Mountaintop, opens this Thursday, August 25, 2011. Primary Stages will continue its 27th season with the New York premiere of the new play, Motherhood Out Loud, conceived by Susan R. Rose and Joan Stein. Directed by Lisa Peterson, the cast will feature Mary Bacon, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Randy Graff and James Lecesne. Nicky Silver's play THE LYONSis getting its world-premiere this fall with previews beginning September 21 prior to an official opening night October 11 at Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.), it has been announced by Vineyard Theatre artistic director Douglas Aibel and co-artistic director Sarah Stern. The cast of Paper Mill Playhouse's premiere of a new Disney stage musical, Newsies met the press today, and BroadwayWorld was there for the event! Cast members from the critically acclaimed first national tour of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, now on Broadway at the St. James Theatre for a 'Summer of Love' run, held another 'Be-In' performance to benefit Broadway Impact yesterday, August 7th at 7:30 p.m. at the Cooper Square Hotel Penthouse (25 Cooper Square, 3rd Avenue between 5th and 6th Streets).

Rebel Collective Theatre and Slant Theatre Project will present Craig Clary's THE CLASSROOM in FringeNYC starting Aug. 14. The play tells the story of a group of young paralegals who find themselves in a strange limbo between their devil-may-care adolescence and a corporate world of responsibilities. They'll use any means possible - eating contests, Sudoku tournaments, computerized talking monkeys - to keep things interesting.
