The 25th Annual EASTER BONNET COMPETITION raised $3,706,085, the result of six weeks of intensive fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS by 52 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies. The grand total was announced at this year's EASTER BONNET COMPETITION, which ended in two shows featuring original presentations, songs and elaborate, custom-made bonnets from 17 of the participating shows. The Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS 25th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition is now underway at the Minskoff Theatre! The first acts presented yesterday, April 25 and the show continues Tuesday, April 26. The proceeds from the event will benefit BC/EFA. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you a sneak peek at the big event. Injured SPIDER-MAN perform Christopher Tierney returned to rehearsals for the musical on Monday, April 25th and BroadwayWorld.com was there with other press to great him upon his return. Lead producer Michael Cohl said last week that Tierney has been cleared to rejoin the show and hopes to be swinging over the audience again on opening night June 14.

LUCKY GUY will begin on Thursday, April 28, 2011 and continue through Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Little Shubert Theatre (422 West 42nd Street, between 9th & Dyer Avenues). Don't Tell Mama was host last Sunday to the premiere of Mixtape Confessions: Diary of a Teenage Optimist. A new autobiographical show starring Nicole Johndrow, Mixtape Confessions features surprising new arrangements of classic pop hits from 1988 to 1991, structured around Johndrow's audiotape diary from her junior high school days. At the piano was musical director and arranger Warren Freeman, who dueted with Johndrow on several showstoppers, including songs made famous by Whitney Houston, Gloria Estefan, Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson. Also on hand were Anna Ty Bergman and Dani Marcus for some tight girl-group harmonies and the emotionally charged finale, Wilson Phillips' 'Hold On.' Throughout the fast-paced show, Johndrow shares candid moments as the recorded voice of 13-year-old Nicole from the tape diary recounts the joys and embarrassments of the Eighth Grade: the first kiss, the first crush and the first heartbreak.

Last week The Creative Coalition and friends celebrated Broadway's romantic comedy Born Yesterday with an exclusive reception at the iconic 'Tobacconist to the World,' Nat Sherman. Jim Belushi along with the cast of Broadway's Born Yesterday enjoyed specialty cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and limited edition Nat Sherman cigars at the flagship store immediately following last night's show. BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO is a new American play by Rajiv Joseph Starring Robin Williams in his Broadway acting debut and directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Moisés Kaufman. The production opened March 31, at the Richard Rogers Theatre and was paid a special visit by Cherry Jones last night, April 12. Yesterday, April 11, Garnier brought some of NYC's most fabulous Broadway dancers, The Cagelles, to Times Square to mark the inaugural stop of their Cleaner Greener Tour. The Cagelles posed for photos exploring the tour bus, recycling old beauty products and checking out Garnier's new Pure Clean line of biodegradable shampoo and conditioner. Robert Spencer performed songs from several of Second Stage's most memorable musicals for a one-night-only benefit, A MOMENT WITH YOU, last night April 4, 2011 at Hammerstein Ballroom. The evening honored Second Stage Theatre Board Member Donna Perret Rosen. Stephen Sondheim served as the evening's Honorary Chair.

After a breif hiatus, ROCK OF AGES re-opened at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway last night, March 24. The five-time Tony Award nominated musical played its final performance at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday, January 9, 2011. The production moved houses to make way for RAIN, which had to vacate it's home at the Neil Simon Theatre to accommodate Catch Me If You Can.
