Peter James Zielinski As an Equity actor, Peter is photographing the industry from the inside out. He has performed in numerous shows regionally, sung a duet with Richard Chamberlain in the National Tour of "Scrooge," and starred in "The Zoo Project" which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. When not on stage, he can be found photographing headshots and live theatre in NYC, Chicago and LA. On Monday, November 30, The Fred Ebb Foundation in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company presented the fifth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, was be presented by Eric Schaeffer of the Signature Theatre in the Penthouse Lobby of The American Airlines Theater.

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of the celebrated new musical MEMPHIS will be available for purchase exclusively at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street) and online at www.memphisthemusical.com beginning Friday, December 11th. This special edition will feature a bonus track of "Memphis Lives in Me" performed by composer and Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan. The cast of MEMPHIS recorded the album at Avatar Studios on Monday, November 16, 2009. The recording is produced by Delray Records and nationwide distribution details will be available shortly.

Tarell Alvin McCraney's The Brother/Sister Plays have officially launched at the Public Theater. The series Part 2, The Brothers Size and Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet, directed by Robert O'Hara, began previews on October 21. Part 1, In the red and Brown Water, hits the stage. Tina Landau directs. McCraney, one of America's most acclaimed young writers, returns to The Public to complete his trilogy following the success of The Brothers Size in 2007. Performances will run through December 13.

The posthumous release of Remember How I Love You: Love Letters from an Extraordinary Marriage, Jerry and Elaine Orbach's autobiographical memoir recounting their thirty year marriage, was celebrated at a once-in-a-lifetime reunion of the couple's colleagues and friends at The Snapple Theater Center on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 5:30 PM. Each morning before leaving their Hell's Kitchen apartment to report to the set of Law & Order, Jerry wrote Elaine a short poem for her to find upon waking. The poems were humorous, sweet and topical, focusing on the couple's morning rituals, their daily routine - whatever was on Jerry's mind. Combined, they tell the story of a marriage full of life and love.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre (Scott Alan Evans,Cynthia Harris and Simon Jones, Co-Artistic Directors), the critically-acclaimed company 'dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit,' opens its 17th Anniversary season with The Late Christopher Bean, a sly 1930's comedy by Pulitzer Prize-winner Sidney Howard based upon 'Prenez Garde a la Peinture,' by Rene Fauchois. Directed by TACT Company Member Jenn Thompson, performances began at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Sunday, November 1st, 2009 at 3pm. Opening night was celebrated Wednesday, November 11th at 7:30pm. Performances will continue through Saturday, December 5th.

The production also said goodbye to original 'SHREK' star Brian d'Arcy James who played his final performance in the title role yesterday as well.

Disney's landmark musical event THE LION KING celebrated 5000 Broadway performances on Thursday, November 5 at the Minskoff Theatre. Only eight other musicals have reached this milestone, including Disney's Beauty and the Beast. THE LION KING is the ninth longest-running musical in Broadway history and the first American musical to welcome 50 million guests worldwide.
