Governor Tom Corbett and First Lady Susan Corbett today recognized eight outstanding women as this year's Distinguished Daughters of Pennsylvania. The women were honored at the Governor's Residence in Harrisburg where they were presented with medals and citations for their achievements.

MSG Entertainment and the Garden of Dreams Foundation has just announced Garden of Laughs, an unprecedented Garden of Dreams event to be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. Executive Produced by Emmy Award-winner, Rory Rosegarten, this one-night-only event will feature stand-up performances by some of the biggest names in comedy, including Adam Ferrara, Darrell Hammond, Robert Klein, Ray Romano and Wanda Sykes, with more comedians to be announced. The night of stand-up comedy is being created specifically to benefit the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit charity that works with all areas of The Madison Square Garden Company, including MSG Entertainment, Rangers, Knicks, Liberty, MSG Networks and Fuse.

Last fall, Theatre Development Fund (TDF) piloted the new program, Autism Theatre Initiative, as part of TDF's Accessibility Programs (TAP), to make theatre accessible to children and adults on the autism spectrum, and their families. They presented the first-ever autism-friendly performance of a Broadway show at Disney's landmark The Lion King on October 2, 2011 and followed that up with an autism-friendly performance of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins on April 29, 2012. On September 30, the cast of The Lion King took part in another autism-friendly performance, and Rod Thomas, an actor in the show, wrote about the experience from his perspective. As previously announced, this fall, Broadway's acclaimed record-breaking revival of the Tony Award-winning musical CHICAGO will welcome singer, songwriter, actor and multi-platinum recording artist Billy Ray Cyrus in his Broadway stage debut as 'that silver-tongued prince of the courtroom,' slick criminal lawyer Billy Flynn. MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL, based on the life of legendary Motown founder Berry Gordy, will open on Broadway at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46 Street) on April 14, 2013. Via a global webcast this morning, The Phantom of the Opera star Sarah Brightman, will, as rumoured, indeed be travelling into space in 2014 or 2015 for ten days on a voyage that will take her to the International Space Station. It was announced at the press conference that she had cleared all necessary medical tests, and at the completion of a 2013, 5 continent, 100 city tour would go straight into 6 months of training before her space flight. According to Variety, Tony winner James Corden, has signed on to star in the BBC's 'The Wrong Man' series. THe six part comedy thriller will air on Hulu in 2013. Corden will play a 'lowly office worker Phil caught up in a criminal conspiracy involving a car crash.'
