Performance Network Theatre Extends SONIA FLEW thru 10/24October 11, 2010In response to audience popularity and rave reviews from critics, Performance Network's production of Melinda Lopez's SONIA FLEW has been extended for one weekend. Additional performances will be held on October 22, 23 and 24. 'Sonia Flew' is directed by David Wolber and stars Sarab Kamoo, Mila Govich, Jon Bennett, Will David Young, Christina Flynn and Russ Schwartz.
Mesa Arts Center Presents 'Out to Lunch' Concerts, 10/28October 11, 2010Last year, thousands of patrons enjoyed free weekly concerts outdoors at Mesa Arts Center. On
Thursday, Oct. 28, the Out to Lunch concert series returns for another season. These concerts will
feature local artists playing a variety of music including 50's rock-n-roll, acoustic country, jazz and
more. Break away from your computer screen, discover new music, and enjoy the weather and fresh air. Chairs and lawn seating are available, but guests are encouraged to bring stadium cushions and blankets. Cucina Di Vita, Italian deli will provide sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, antipasto plates, fresh lemonade, iced tea, coffee, and more onsite at Mesa Arts Center. Brown bags and picnic baskets are welcome and many of Downtown Mesa's unique restaurants offer convenient and appetizing take-out options. Out to Lunch concerts are FREE and open to the public.

Film Society of Lincoln Center to Open Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center, Spring 2011October 11, 2010The Film Society of Lincoln Center, which is building the new Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center, scheduled to open spring of next year, announced during the New York Film Festival's Closing Night screening of Clint Eastwood's Hereafter, their completion of the private phase of a $41 million capital campaign. To date, the Film Society has raised $37 million during this private campaign, through the loyal support of Film Society trustees and members. The Film Society will now launch its public campaign to raise an additional $4 million.
