He has a Degree in Dramatic Literature and Theatre with a specialization in playwriting from the Mexican National University. He began his career as a theatre critic in 1994 in the magazine "En Escena". Since then, he has collaborated with the newspaper Uno Más Uno, the magazine Betún and the newspaper La Jornada.
In 2013 he created Entretenia, a website which, in over 12 years, has managed to position itself as one of the main references of specialized theater criticism in Mexico City and the country. There, he has written over 1,700 reviews of all kinds of theatrical experiences, from big Broadway musicals to underground, independent proposals.
In 2017 he was invited by the Mexican National Theater Coordination to participate as a critic in the Mexican National Theatre Convention, event which showcases some of the best theatre made in the country. This participation has continued every year since then.
Also, in 2017 he joined the Association of Critics and Journalists of Mexico (ACPT), which gives out awards to the best in theatre in Mexico City every year. In 2023 he joined the Association’s podcast as host in several episodes.
He has taken a wide range of specialized courses on theater criticism with such Latin American experts such as Jorge Dubatti, Didanwy Kent, Ilina Goyeneche, and Luz Emilia Aguilar Zinzer, among others.
In 2022 he was invited to be part of the jury in the State Theatre Convention in La Paz, Baja California.
He has given multiple courses, lectures and talks on Theatre Criticism all over Mexico.
