Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre will present a revival of The Arabian Nights. This hit show from Tony Award-winning director Mary Zimmerman returns for 24 performances only - from December 11 through December 30. Following an exclusive pre-sale period for subscribers and donors, Berkeley Rep has now put seats on sale to the public. A co-production with Arena Stage, The Arabian Nights will travel to Washington, DC in 2011.

This holiday season, Berkeley Repertory Theatre presents a deliciously silly world premiere from beloved Bay Area artists: Lemony Snicket's The Composer is Dead begins previews in the Roda Theatre on November 26, opens December 2, and closes January 15. The show features text by bestselling author Lemony Snicket and a score by living composer Nathaniel Stookey. It was conceived for the stage by Lemony Snicket, Phantom Limb Jessica Grindstaff and Erik Sanko, co-artistic directors, Tony Taccone, and Geoff Hoyle.

Road Less Traveled Productions announces the return of its popular 2009 family offering, A Charlie Brown Christmas: The Music of Vince Guaraldi. The evening of music, comedy, and dancepresents the classic holiday jazz album in a festive, family-oriented production.

Hollywood and Broadway legends Kaye Ballard, Donna McKechnie and Liliane Montevecchi will star in a one-night-only gala performance 'From Broadway with Love' at the historic Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Broadway performance will benefit Animal Protection of New Mexico, a non-profit organization that has been challenging historic and widespread animal cruelty in New Mexico for more than 30 years. Hilary Knight, internationally renowned illustrator, will design the art for the event.

The 25th anniversary production of Les Misérables making its United States premiere at Paper Mill Playhouse prior to a major US National Tour. The all new production of Les Misérables features glorious new staging and spectacular reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo.

This Friday will be a time of celebration as the world premiere of Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol by Seattle playwright John Longenbaugh finally premieres at Taproot Theatre. Postponed last year due to the October 23 arson, this world premiere features the original cast, joined by Stephen Grenley, and is directed by Taproot Producing Artistic Director Scott Nolte. A celebratory reception with the cast, crew, patrons and staff immediately follows the performance.

Jeff Skowron returns as the Grinch in the Globe's 13th annual production of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Skowron made his Globe debut as the Grinch in last season's production. The annual holiday musical, directed by James Vasquez with book and lyrics by Timothy Mason and music by Mel Marvin, will run in the Old Globe Theatre Nov. 20 - Dec. 26. Previews run from Nov. 20 - Nov. 26. Opening night is Nov. 26 at 7:00 p.m.

Goodman Theatre's perennial holiday classic A Christmas Carol, consistently included among the Midwest's top-tier holiday events, returns for the 33rd season. Renowned Chicago actor John Judd appears for the first time in the legendary role of Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, 'Goodman Theatre's annual Christmas gift to Chicago' Daily Herald for more than three decades. Judd leads a cast of 26 this holiday season-including 10 Chicagoland actors also appearing in A Christmas Carol for the first time. Chicago actor/director William Brown returns for the fifth consecutive year to stage the production hailed as 'a joyous present for the entire family' Chicago Sun-Times and 'ideal family fare, both heartwarming and spectacular in its familiar tale' Chicago Tribune. Neo-Baroque dance-theatre group Company XIV proudly presents the World Premiere of Nutcracker Rouge, a Baroque - Burlesque confection of dance, theatre and sumptuous design. The show is directed, choreographed and conceived by Austin McCormick, with a script adapted and written by Jeff Takacs. Nutcracker Rouge runs from December 10, 2010 to January 9, 2011 in a limited engagement at Company XIV's theatre space, located at 303 Bond Street, between Union & Sackett in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Previews begin December 10 for a December 12 opening. Company XIV is donating 50% of the show's proceeds to the Ali Forney Center in New York City.

Porchlight Music Theatre will present the exhilarating live stage production of Miracle on 34th Street, based on the holiday film classic at Stage 773, 1225 West Belmont.
