Jeremy Goldsteins Truth to Power Caf is a profound theatrical experience told through a combination of memoir, poetry, image, music, and film. In a cathartic episode of truth-telling, nine participants from the local Casey community give voice to their lived experiences, in response to the shows central question Who has power over you and what do you want to say to them?The premise of Truth to Power Caf is rooted in the political and philosophical beliefs of Nobel prize-winning playwright Harold Pinter and his Hackney Gang, who championed the disenfranchised, the anti-war movement, and speaking truth to power. The internationally acclaimed online theatre event has travelled the world from London and beyond and now comes to Bunjil Place as part of The City of Caseys Ageing Positively Festival.
