The Rehearsal Room: Design of Life is a series of open readings and workshops at Arts Centre Melbourne's The Show Room, running from May 18 to June 22, 2026. Developed in partnership with community-led organisations Next in Colour and Black Wealth Connect, the program supports plays written by African Australian artists. Grounded in culturally specific methodology that centres African and African-Australian playwrights, it practices a model of radical transparency in the creative process.
