Melbourne Cabaret Festival Sets 2011 Dates
The 2011 Melbourne Cabaret Festival will take place Tuesday 19 to Sunday 24 July, again centred in the historic Emerald Hill Arts and Cultural Precinct, South Melbourne. This follows the successful inaugural festival in July this year, and the re-commitment of all sponsors.
"Melbourne has long yearned for a dedicated cabaret festival, it being the missing jewel in its „arts capital of Australia? crown," said David Read, Artistic Director. "With the generous help of our cultural partners, financial supporters and keen-as-mustard audiences, we?re aiming to correct that." The Festival is now accepting submissions from producers and performers. Submissions should be emailed to info@melbournecabaret.com and close end February 2011.
